Eddie Foster: Drawing Early Interest

Division I football schools have always been attracted to speed and that is exactly what Colleyville Heritage cornerback Eddie Foster brings to the football field. Foster and his teammates are off to a good start so far this year and he is already started receiving interest from several schools. He talked recruiting with Inside Texas.

"As of right now, I'm hearing from Oklahoma State University, the University of Houston and the University of Connecticut," Eddie Foster said.

"Houston is close to home. That's where I have grown up all this time," Foster said. "Oklahoma State produces some good players. They would offer some good competition."

Foster admitted that he didn't know that much about UConn, but he would like to start hearing from some other schools. Back in July, he named three favorites, and things haven't changed.

"Just USC right now," Foster said when asked if there was a school that he would like to start hearing from. "Everything else, I have been expecting."

"USC produces some of the best players in the country," Foster added.

Foster admitted that location wouldn't affect his decision. However, the Texas Longhorns are still high on his list.

"I've always been around it (Texas football)," Foster said. "I guess it's a comfort zone I've grown into."

Foster hasn't taken any game day visits to date but did mention trying to make it to a Miami game before the season ends.

Colleyville Heritage has started the season 2-1 dropping their opener to Cedar Hill. Foster currently has one interception this year.

"We have been doing great since the game against Cedar Hill. We have really picked it up on both sides of the ball," Foster said.
