Aladenoye Names Top Five

At 6-foot-6, 320-pounds, it not hard to spot North Mesquite offensive tackle Josh Aladenoye on the football field and college recruiters haven't overlooked him. In fact, he already holds a Big 12 offer. Aladenoye isn't ruling anybody out at this point in time, but he has established an overall leader and a top five.

"Right now, I would have to say the top school for me would probably be OU," Josh Aladenoye said. "As for my top five, I like LSU, OU, OSU, Texas A&M and Texas."

The only school in his top five that has extended a scholarship offer is the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

"I've been offered a full scholarship by Oklahoma State University," Aladenoye said. "They offered after the first game of the season."

Aladenoye camped in Stillwater over the summer and came back impressed with the OSU coaching staff.

"I like Mike Gundy and the way he coaches. They run a fast paced style of offense kind of like what we run," Aladenoye said. "I also like their offensive line coach (Joe Wickline). I met him over the summer."

Aladenoye hasn't attended any college football games this fall, but his first visit is coming up very soon.

"Not yet, but I am going to the Oklahoma State game against Texas on November 3," Aladenoye said."

On top of the heavy interest that the Cowboys have been showing in Aladenoye, he is also receiving mail from Oklahoma, Tennessee, Duke, LSU, Iowa State, Texas A&M and Missouri on a regular basis. The only school in his top five that hasn't been sending much mail is the Texas Longhorns.

"I've only received about one or two letters from them," Aladenoye said.

Would Aladenoye be interested if Texas starting recruiting him a little harder?

"Right now probably not, because I'm leaning more towards OU," Aladenoye said. "But I would definitely have to go down there and check things out first."
