Generously listed at 5-7, Griffin is an Oompa-Loomp on speed and is included on the Doak Walker Award watch list as the nation's outstanding running back.
"Every time he touches the ball he makes a big play," Brown said. "He's one of the best running backs in college football."
The three-year letterman went nuts against Texas two years ago, scoring six touchdowns. Although Griffin was OU's top ground gainer in each of the past two seasons, the Texas defense held him to 27 yards on 16 carries last fall.
The linebackers will also have their hands full with TE Trent Smith, who led all of the nation's tight ends last season with 61 receptions and who was The Sporting News preseason choice as the No. 1 TE in the country.
