Grant Says OU Visit 'Real Deal'; UT up Next

After missing his junior season, LBJ wide receiver Derrick Grant blew it up on the gridiron in 2007. We caught up with "D.J." to talk with him to talk about his official visit to OU, official visit agenda, where Texas fits in and more.

Do you remember when Austin LBJ and Austin Reagan used to be the toast of the capital city's district championship seemingly almost year in and year out? It was way back in the day but that was in fact the rivalry game of the year, and for while. This season, at least, LBJ got back to their winning ways and is featuring one of the top targets in the Lone Star State. We caught with Derrick Grant to grab the latest details regarding his recruitment.

"My official visit to Oklahoma was the 'Real Deal'," said Grant. "It was cool. I got to meet the coaches and players."

After tripping to Ames (Iowa State) and now Norman (OU), D.J. told us he had one more official visit planned to Austin to see Texas up close and personal.

"Ive got one more official visit left and that's to Texas either this weekend or next weekend," said Grant.

Right now, the Austin, Tex. wideout who averaged a mind-boggling 27.2 yards-a catch, said he has a solid Top Two.

"Texas and Oklahoma are my top two," said Grant.

Let's take a look at Grant's stat package this season...
