What was the best part of the visit for the Brenham product?
"Just getting to know everybody, talking to the coaches and realizing that you are going to be there in less than a year," Roberson said.
Roberson's host during his visit was former Longview star Vondrell McGee.
"Vondrell McGee," Roberson said when asked about his host. "He was a cool person. We got along real good, but we didn't get to hang out that much. I know that his high school is still in the playoffs, so he went to watch them play."
One of the biggest questions surrounding Roberson is which side of the ball he will end up playing on. His host was a running back, so signs point to offense. However, he didn't get any confirmation from head coach Mack Brown.
"No sir, they haven't," Roberson said when asked if the coaches hinted about whether he would play offense or defense. He projects as either a fullback or a linebacker for Texas.
Brenham High School finished with an 8-3 record this year. Roberson gained 950 yards and scored 17 touchdowns in his final season as a Brenham Cub.
