ASU's Texans excited to face Longhorns
No one is wearing "We Mess With Texas" T-shirts, but that's what Arizona State football players from Texas are thinking. Eight Sun Devils are from the Lone Star state, including starters Michael Jones and Julius Orieukwu and backup tailback Dimitri Nance. The trio grew up as University of Texas fans, although none was a Longhorns recruiting target in a state overflowing with major-college talent. ASU and Texas will meet for the first time in a combined 209 football seasons at the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27.
