Randall Dent: Big Plans

This time next year, South Grand Prairie's Randall Dent will likely be regarded as one of the Lone Star State's top defensive linemen. Only a junior, Dent already holds a Big 12 offer and is hearing from some of the top programs in the country. Who is in the lead and where will he visit before his senior year?

Randall Dent already has an offer from Oklahoma State and interest from other schools appears to have picked up. Dent ran down the list of schools he has been hearing from.

"Minnesota and Oregon are the two schools that I have talked to the most. They have been sending a lot of stuff," Dent said. "Kansas sends a lot of mail, and I get a lot of stuff from A&M. That's about it from Big 12 schools, but LSU has been sending a lot as well."

One school in particular appears to have the lead at this point in time.

"LSU," Dent replied when asked about a favorite. "I just like their program and the style of defense they play. They have produced a lot of great defensive linemen at LSU."

Dent has never visited LSU, but he is planning on camping in Baton Rouge this summer. He is also planning on attending several junior days including one in Austin.

"Yes sir," Dent replied when asked if he is still hearing from Texas. "They just invited me to their junior day on the 23rd of February. Oklahoma State invited me to their junior day too."
