Longhorns Offer Alex Okafor

Grabbing a defensive end in 2009 is likely one of the top priorities for the Texas Longhorns and Alex Okafor currently sits atop their wish list. Okafor received an offer during his junior day visit, but Longhorn fans will have to wait a little while longer for a decision.

"Texas offered me a scholarship, so it went great," Alex Okafor said.

Okafor appears to be down to three schools right now. LSU and Stanford are also near the top of his list and a decision could come after he visits both of those schools.

"I'm talking two more junior day visits then I will probably be a lot closer to making a decision," Okafor said.

Okafor had the opportunity to sit down with Mack Brown during his visit in Austin and Brown let him know just how important he was to the University of Texas.

"Coach Brown told me that I was their number one priority at defensive end, especially since they didn't sign one in the '08 class," Okafor said. "He told me that I was important to them and that he wanted me to come play football down there."

Asked about the facilities at Texas, Okafor said, "They have the best facilities in the country."
