Texas Taking a Look at Another Big Receiver

Finding a receiver with the rare combination of height and speed is difficult, but the Texas coaching staff is looking to land another big wideout in Terdema Ussery from St. Mark's, the same private school in Dallas where the Longhorns found Sam and Emmanuel Acho.

At 6-foot-4.5, 192 pounds and a 40 time of a scorching 4.45, Terdema Ussery from Dallas St. Mark's is an imposing presence on the football field.

Because of this, he's receiving interest from across the recruiting landscape, including from Austin. Texas wide receivers coach Bobby Kennedy recently stopped by St. Mark's to check out the talented wideout.

As much as Texas has been hearing good things about Ussery, Ussery's hearing good things about Texas from a pair of close friends. Texas defensive end Sam Acho and his younger brother, Texas linebacker signee Emmanuel Acho, are close with Ussery and they've been giving him positive reports about the time they've each spent with the staff.

"I haven't met the coaches, but I've heard they're great," Ussery told Inside Texas. "Emmanuel and Sam really like them and say they're the best."

Ussery already holds scholarship offers from Stanford and Louisville, but he's likely to land more once his tour across America begins.

"I'm going to a Junior Day at Notre Dame on the 24th, Oregon on April 26th and Florida sometime next month."

He'll be hitting almost every corner of the country and Ussery has been hearing from even more big time programs. Ussery said he's very appreciative of all the interest.

"It's great. I'm really honored by all of the attention," said Ussery.

Despite the early juncture and so many teams looking to bring him in for a visit, Ussery already has a rough Top Five formed.

"I'd say Florida, Notre Dame, Stanford, Texas and Oregon."

Texas has shown plenty of interest in bringing in the big wideout, but is a visit to Texas something Ussery is looking to set up?
