"He just kind of talked to me about the whole process," Walters said of his one-on-one with Mack Brown. "I kind of thought that there was going to be some pressure, and there was none. He told me I could take the time I needed to make my decision. He told me that they wanted me and that they weren't going to take anymore linemen besides me. They said that if I wanted to commit there, great. If not, they wish me the best of luck. They were really friendly and seem really up front and honest."
Walters received a scholarship offer from the Longhorns during his visit in Austin, but he wants to check out some other schools before making a decision.
"I don't think I have enough information to make that decision right now," Walters said when asked if he thought about committing. "I want to take a look at some of these out-of state schools that have offered me. At this point in time, I'm just kind of looking to make sure nothing is better out there. I'm trying to make the right decision and I'm not pressured for time right now."
Walters hesitated to name Texas as his overall favorite and it appears that his recruitment could go deep into his senior season.
"It's a close race right now. I probably won't be able to give a list until mid-summer," Walters said.
