Will Blake get a Longhorn offer?

With offers in hand and the interest pouring in, Austin High School WR Emory Blake is just taking the recruiting process as it comes. During the off-season, Blake looks to make a few key stops to colleges. Where does Texas fit in? Will he get the offer?

After leaving Texas' first junior day, Austin (TX) High School wide receiver Emory Blake left the campus with a good feeling. And that was the feeling that good news (an offer) could be coming soon.

But the question is when?

"I think I will get an offer from Texas, but I don't know when," Blake said. "I like the wide receivers coach and I like Mack Brown. I like Texas a lot and it is a good family environment."

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Blake was impressed by the facilities, coaches, just the overall environment. With that said, Blake plans to make at least one more appearance on campus during the off-season.

Possibly two.

"I may go check out a spring practice," Blake said. "And I think they want me to come up over the summer and work out at a camp."

Besides interest in Texas (which he named as one of his favorites), Blake likes the programs at Texas Tech, Tulsa, Florida, LSU, and USC. He currently holds offers from Vanderbilt, Tulsa, Texas Tech, and recently Houston.

The Red Raiders and the Golden Hurricanes are the programs that are pursuing him the strongest and his junior day visits include LSU and Texas. During spring break, Blake has plans to visit Texas Tech and possibly Tulsa.

Either way Blake's stocks rise daily.

"I talk with a lot of coaches and I just want to continue checking out schools to see where I am going to visit," Blake said. "With recruiting, I am just taking it as it comes."

Blake played in five games and recorded 1,000 all-purpose yards and seven touchdowns.
