Inside Texas dropped by Midway High School in Waco to talk with 2009 Texas commit Trey Graham. According to Graham and his head coach, Kent Bechtol, the talented tight end has been well prepared for playing in Austin each step of the way.

Central Texas talent heading to Big D
Central Texas has a very deep 2009 recruiting talent pool and some the biggest fish in the pond will be at the UA/ Combine at Valley Ranch on Saturday. Alex Okafor, Brandall Jackson, and 2010 star Lache Seastrunk are just a few of the big names making their way to the Metroplex this weekend.

Standing next to him was his father, Michael Torres Sr. It was a father, a son, and the sound of a baseball hitting the metal bat.

Cowboy baseball team hits road to play Longhorns this weekend

As the Cowboys head to Austin to face Texas this weekend, coach Frank Anderson said the top spot in the Big 12 this week belongs to an unlikely team – the University of Texas-Arlington. UTA beat No. 14 OSU (24-11, 8-7 Big 12) on Tuesday in Arlington and beat Texas the next day in Austin. The Cowboys are tied with the No. 15 Longhorns (23-11, 8-7) for fourth place in the conference.

Athletic director DeLoss Dodds confirmed Thursday that Texas lost roughly $68,000 from its operating budget to cover a shortfall incurred from playing in the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl last December.
