Baylor Game Photo Gallery -- Defense

Exclusive Baylor game photos from IT photographer Will Gallagher -- defense:

Reed Boyd wraps up the Baylor ball carrier. The junior middle linebacker led the team with seven tackles, including one TFL. (PHOTO by Will Gallagher/IT)

Kendal Briles plays centerfield on an Aaron Karas attempt, making the interception at the Texas one. The redshirt freshman also picked off Karas in the third quarter. The return of Briles, who had inched ahead of Dakarai Pearson in the August battle for the starting spot at free safety before a severe ankle sprain sidelined him till the Baylor game, greatly enhances the Horns' depth situation at free safety. Bryan Pickryl, Derrick Johnson and another Longhorn defender close in on Baylor running back Rashad Armstrong. Armstrong totaled 57 yards on 14 carries but as a team, the Bears finished with just 41 yards on 27 rushing attempts. Baylor finished with 127 yards of total offense and failed to score a point for the fourth time this season. It was the Horns' third shutout of '02. (PHOTO by Will Gallagher/IT)

Bryan Pickryl tackles Baylor QB Karas at the goalline just inches from a safety. The true freshman got the start at RDE in place of the injured Kalen Thornton and contributed two tackles (both sacks of Karas). Although sophomore Austin Sendlein also saw action at right DE, Pickryl seems to provide the least drop-off from regular starter Thornton. Thornton is listed as "questionable" for this weekend's game with Texas Tech. (PHOTO by Will Gallagher/IT)
