Postseason exits in regional round are not acceptable
Daily Texan
Texas fans should be used to this by now. For the third year in a row after winning the national title in 2005, Texas failed to make it out of the regionals. This year it was at the hands of Rice, a team that has proven they're better than the Longhorns this year by defeating them twice earlier in the season. Last season it was the Cinderella squad of UC-Irvine that sent Texas packing, and before that it was Stanford, both teams Texas should have handled those years. At least Rice was an improvement. Texas went from losing back-to-back regionals they were supposed to win in Austin to losing a regional that they really had no business being in.
