D.J. Augustin Goes Ninth Overall to Charlotte
One former Texas point guard was drafted and another was on the move Thursday night. Former Texas point guard D.J. Augustin went No. 9 in the 2008 NBA Draft to the Charlotte Bobcats, while former Texas point guard T.J. Ford is likely headed to Indiana.

Big 12 sets record with nine players taken in NBA Draft

It was another big night for the Big 12 at the NBA Draft. Nine conference players were selected Thursday night, breaking a league record, and four went in the first round. Last year the Big 12 had five first-round choices.


Former Texas Longhorn, suspended player plead guilty

Two former Texas football players pleaded guilty Thursday to robbery charges, a Travis County prosecutor said. Robert Joseph, who served as a safety, and Andre Jones, a defensive tackle, each pleaded guilty to a felony charge of robbery. Each faces up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine, although probation is also an option, said Buddy Meyer, an assistant district attorney in Travis County.


Father Ryan Hosts Vince Young Camp
A great day, great lessons, and great insight were all served up yesterday at Father Ryan High School. The Vince Young Foundation in partnership with Father Ryan High School and its football staff hosted a camp for over 300 young kids from across the Nashville area.
