"I went to Texas' camp," Johnson said. "There was a lot of talent out there."
While in Austin, Johnson got to take part in throwing drills with several other quarterback prospects from the 2010 class. He also got to speak with Major Applewhite.
"I talked to Applewhite," Johnson said. "He asked me how I liked it and if I was coming to any football games in the fall."
Johnson enjoyed his trip to Austin so much that he currently has UT listed as his favorite. He also likes the four other schools that have already started sending mail.
"U of H sent something," Johnson said. "My brother goes to school down there, so I'm a little interested in them."
When asked about his strengths as a quarterback, Johnson said, "My running ability and throwing power. He also mentioned that he would like to improve his footwork before his junior season gets underway.
