Demarco Cobbs loves Texas

Tulsa Central High star Demarco Cobbs made a trip to the Lone Star state to see the Longhorns and Aggies clash on Thanksgiving. The trip made a quite an impression on Cobbs and he was kind enough to share his thoughts on the trip, Texas, and his next stop.

Many observers think Tulsa star Demarco Cobbs will be the highest rated player in Oklahoma next year. His offers are certainly starting to indicate that he will definitely be one of the most highly sought players.

As was previously reported, Cobbs and his coach Corey Russell drove from Tulsa to Austin to see the Texas-Texas A&M game. Last weekend, Cobbs was in Norman for the Oklahoma-Texas Tech game. Cobbs was in Fort Worth today on his way to Lubbock to see the Texas Tech-Baylor game. Cobbs loved his time in Austin.

"It was crazy. I was very impressed with the facilities down there. I have never been to a place like that before," Cobbs gushed, "I love Texas."

The Tulsa star made a quite an impression on the Texas coaches too.

"Coach Chambers and Coach Muschamp were both glad I made it. Coach Brown told me he loved my size," said Cobbs.

The versatile Tulsa standout is obviously enjoying the visits to some of the top games in the region.

"I had a lot of fun in Austin. I am still open to all of the schools, but Texas is still right up there. It was cool," Cobbs added.

Cobbs now holds offers from Arkansas, Texas Tech, Tulsa, and most recently, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Most colleges are recruiting Cobbs as either a safety or a wide receiver. Cobbs primarily played quarterback for Central as a junior, but had snaps at wide receiver, free safety, punt returner and kickoff returner.
