The Texas Longhorns landed a large, big-bodied wide receiver on Sunday when Desoto's Darius Terrell turned his longtime love of the Longhorns into a pledge to play his college ball there. Burnt Orange Beat has a video package of the 6-3, 195 pound pass catcher from his junior season.
of Desoto is truly a multi-talented athlete. After he committed to the Texas
Longhorns earlier this week, he told Burnt Orange Beat, "Coach Brown said their initial evaluation of me was as an athlete. They feel like I can play outside receiver, inside receiver or tight end. Coach Brown said I was one of the more versatile players in the state and they liked that. I'm glad they made me a priority and feel like I'm a versatile player," Terrell said.
In addition to his gridiron success, Terrell contributes on the hardwood. Terrell is a key member of the DeSoto Eagles 23-7 basketball team that is tied for the 11-5A lead at 6-1. The long armed wing is averaging 9.1 points and has high scoring game of 24 points on the season.
