JUNIOR VIDEO: Quarterback Connor Wood

The latest Texas commitment for the 2010 train came rolling in earlier this week in Houston Second Baptist signal caller Connor Wood. Wood joins Case McCoy of Graham as the two quarterbacks in this class. Check out his almost twenty minutes of junior highlights from Scout.com where he flashes his arm from the pocket and on sprint-outs, and his feet buying time and picking up yards on the run.

When quarterback Connor Wood announced his decision to pledge to the Texas Longhorns earlier this week, he broke a lot of hearts across the country. Wood, who had offers from Oklahoma, Stanford, Notre Dame, Duke, Nebraska, Missouri, and many others in addition to the Longhorns, choose Texas after a lengthy courtship that included summer camps, a junior day, and many unofficial visits for games.

Wood led Houston Second Baptist into the TAPPS playoffs and finished his 9-3 junior season with 2,248 passing yards and 20 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions. Wood also posted 2,300 total yards and 23 touchdowns as a sophomore. As you can see in this film, he also is quite adept at gaining yards with his feet too.

Check out his almost twenty minutes (in three parts) of junior highlights from Scout.com.
