Traylon Shead of 1A Cayuga is one of nineteen Longhorn commitments for the 2010 class. Shead is the lone running back currently committed in the class. Traylon Shead rushed for 205 yards on 30 carries against Bremond in the 1A - Region III semifinals in a 35-32 win.

"Traylon ran with such great heart tonight," Allison told the Palestine Herald after the game.

Shead will enter his senior season with a good chance to break Kenneth Hall's national career rushing record of 11,232 yards. He will enter the 2009 season with 7,632 yards on 787 carries and 102 touchdowns needing 3,601 yards to break the long-standing national record.
