Haltom's Reggie Wilson is Down to Three

When you are 6-3, 238 pounds and can run like the wind, you tend to draw special recruiting interest. Haltom's Reggie Wilson drew recruiting from all ends of the country, including offers from Georgia, Florida, USC, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and TCU, among others. Wilson announced through his coach that his list of potential suitors is now three and set a timetable for his decision.

Haltom's Reggie Wilson has narrowed down his list from twenty plus schools who have offered the star defensive end. Wilson, with help from his family and coaches, contacted all of the schools who offered him and didn't make the final cut as a courtesy.

Wilson's final list is Texas, Oklahoma, and TCU. Wilson has visited each of those three schools unofficially in the last month.

"We're getting close to making a final decision. Reggie and his family have committed to making a final decision by the third week of April. That is the beginning of our spring ball," Haltom Head Coach Scott Hafley said.

"Reggie has a lot going on. He is working on his TAKS test this week. We have spring break the week after next, and he is still planning on graduating a semester early, so when he has made a final decision, we are going to have a press conference here at the school," Hafley added.

Hafley continued, "When a final decision is made, we will tell everyone to come on up to the school and interview Reggie at once. Nothing will be announced until after Spring Break. I told him that he needs to know for sure wherever he decides to go when he makes an announcement."
