Scout 100 Has a Texas Feel is releasing its updated post-signing day Top 100 national list today and the state of Texas is very well represented. Sixteen Texans made the cut and to the surprise of almost no one, the Texas Longhorns already have pledges from seven and are in the running for five other Texans. There are also several out of state players on this list that the Longhorns are targeting.

Texans are not known to be short on state pride, so today's Scout 100 for the 2010 should give Texans another shot in the arm. This year's junior class in Texas looks to be especially deep as the state has 16 residents on the list and a whopping nine of the top 49 players in the country.

Texas has seemingly always produced the most number of BCS conference and Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly D1) football scholarships. According to's Director of Recruiting Scott Kennedy, the 2009 class was more of the same as Texas had 384 players sign Football Bowl Subdivision scholarships besting runner-up Florida who had 315. When looking at just BCS conference signees, the gap narrows but Texas still retained the top spot with 190 while Florida had 183.
