Michael Huff to Host Charity Event

Texas Longhorn fans have an opportunity to see many recent Longhorn and NFL stars in a fun and exciting charity event to raise money for two Texas-based charities, Women Called Moses and Dell Children's Medical Center.

Most Longhorn fans remember the type of impact that Michael Huff can bring to a game. Whether it was picking off a pass or recovering Reggie Bush's fumbled backwards pass in the Rose Bowl, Huff always seemed to make a difference. Michael Huff is committed to making a difference off the field as well.

Huff, now an Oakland Raider after being selected with the seventh pick overall in the 2006 NFL Draft, is returning to Austin to host his second annual Michael Huff NFL Celebrity Basketball Game. The basketball game is actual the culmination of two days of events that will raise money for Women Called Moses, a safe haven for battered woman and children, and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.

The benefit includes a Friday, Aril 3rd visit to the medical center, an autograph session with many former Longhorns, a private Evening with the Stars casino night, and the very popular and entertaining NFL celebrity basketball game on Saturday, April 4.

For Longhorn fans that are interested in attending the celebrity basketball game, tickets are only $20 and are available at participating H-E-B locations, both University Co-op locations and Mitchie's Gallery. A limited number of $50 VIP tickets are also available. Children 5 and under are admitted free. The basketball game will be at the Austin Convention Center (500 E Cesar Chavez St. 78701) on Saturday, April 4 at 12:30PM.

The game is scheduled to feature Texas Exes Rod Babers, Cedric Benson, Justin Blalock, Ahmad Brooks, Tim Crowder, Michael Griffin, Michael Huff, B.J. Johnson, Derrick Johnson, Wane McGarity, Aaron Ross, Jonathan Scott, Casey Studdard, Sloan Thomas, Kalen Thornton, and Roy Williams.

There will also be an NFL Players autograph session on Friday, April 3rd from 12:30 to 1:30 at the H-E-B Tech Ridge at IH-35 North and Parmer Lane.

This is a great opportunity to visit with Longhorn stars and contribute to a worthy cause. If you are already planning to travel to Austin for the Spring Game that Sunday, it will be a great opportunity to relive some great Longhorn moments.
