Longhorns at the Texas Relays

The Texas Relays ended in Austin today, but over the last two days there were a number of Longhorn targets, commits, and signees who participated in the event. Check out Burnt Orange Beat's commentary and photo gallery of the event.

The Texas Relays always draw some of the best track teams from across the country, in addition to the many Texas high school teams.

Some of the most interesting numbers come from Texas Longhorn track signee (and football walk-on) Marquise Goodwin won the triple jump (49-10.5) and the long jump (25-2.75), anchored the winning 4 x 200 relay team (1:26:04), and finished second in the 100m (10.48) and the 4 x 100 (41:05).

Longhorn Track Coach Bubba Thorton will be pleased with Whitesboro's Hayden Baillio who won both the discus (202-11) and the shot put (72-2.25).
