Safety Dixon Decommits, Now Baylor Bear

After re-affirming his commitment to the Longhorns just two days ago, Waco Midway safety Ahmad Dixon informed the Longhorns that he is decommitting and pledging to his hometown Baylor Bears, according to his Head Coach Kent Bachtel.

Scout's #3 safety in the country, Ahmad Dixon, made his commitment to Baylor official today after phoning Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp earlier this afternoon to tell the Longhorns of his intentions.

"Ahmad called Coach Muschamp today and told them and then he called the Baylor guys and told them he was switching to Baylor," Midway coach Kent Bachtel told Burnt Orange Beat this afternoon.

Dixon was one of the first Longhorn commitments in the 2010 class on February 9th. The switch means the Longhorns now have 20 commitments in the class and three in the defensive backfield with Adrian White, Bryant Jackson, and Carrington Byndom.
