In The Film Room: QB Dexter Foreman

With the recent success of quarterbacks on the college level from the state of Texas, recruiters from every region of the country are flocking to the Lone Star state in search of their next signal caller. In the 2011 class, Manvel's Dexter Foreman is proving to be one the top run/pass threats in the state. Check out his impressive sophomore highlights.

Manvel's Dexter Foreman is one of the 2011 quarterbacks that has caught the eye of college recruiters both during the 2008 season and the spring evaluation period that ended last Friday. At a shade under 6-2 and 194 pounds with 4.6 speed, Foreman has impressed with not only his ability to throw the ball, but his ability to make plays with his feet and keep plays alive with his strength in his lower body.

In 2008, Foreman was selected 24-4A Offensive Newcomer of the Year after throwing for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns as well as rushing for 448 yards and six additional scores in nine games.

Programs such as Texas, Kansas State, Houston, Nebraska, Iowa and UCLA showed interest early and since then Texas A&M has taken a look as well as several other Big 12 programs. After taking in the Texas Longhorns three-day speed and agility camp last summer, he will make a return trip to Austin in June for camp once again.

In today's installment of In The Film Room, it's a first look at the quarterback prospect from Manvel High of Alvin I.S.D.
