"It was wonderful," McGee told IT. "Really meant a lot. Of course, Texas has unbelievable facilities, great athletes, a great environment...it was just a great experience."
The Burnet prep said the scrimmage was a lot of fun and he spent a little bit of his time checking out the coaches' sideline demeanor.
"They're into it," McGee said, "and real positive. Coach Davis was up in the booth so I didn't get a chance to watch him, but watched Coach Drake and Coach Brown a lot and they're just really positive out there."
"I was just very impressed," McGee said, pausing before adding, "with both of them. But they're both different quarterbacks. They have different personalities (at the QB position). Vincent is more of a raw talent at this point. Chance is more skilled with the three years he's got under his belt, but Vince is better athletically. Both are really great players."
After wrapping up the intrasquad scrimmage, Brown and Davis visited a little with the highly regarded QB.
"Coach Davis is a very nice guy, a great coach, very smart and has a great mind for football," McGee said.
"Coach Brown is a great people person and he has one of the best coaching staffs in the country," McGee said. "And he just does a good job all the way around. And you know they're (Brown and staff) doing a great job or they wouldn't be at the University of Texas, which is one of the best colleges in the country."
Obviously, we'll know a little bit more after McGee gets back from his unofficial to Norman.
We'll address McGee's toughness, what he thinks sets him apart from the other top-ranked Texas QBs and how he compares to them and a few other things in this week's installment of the Inside Scoop.
