6-foot-6, 305-pound junior Brandon Heidecker picked up his first offer from Toledo on Thursday. The left tackle didn't waste any time making his commitment to the Rockets.
"I'd been talking to Toledo for a while. Then after one of the assistant coaches worked me out, head coach (Matt) Campbell called and offered me," he said. "I committed on Saturday because I knew that it's where I want to go."
Heidecker says there are several things he likes about the school and program.
"I've visited before and love it up there. I love the campus and surrounding area. They're getting more successful as it grows each year. They're making it a better program. The coaching staff is trying to recruit better players to make it a better team," said Heidecker.
The left tackle says that having the recruiting process over is truly a relief.
"It feels really good. It's a lot of weight off of my shoulders. A lot of pressure has come off me," he said.
