Clearwater, Fla. High School defensive end, Tramar Reece has added another offer from Toledo. Reece, a 6'3", 215-pound end now holds offers from Bowling Green, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Iowa State, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Southern Mississippi, Toledo, and Western Kentucky.
I have my top ten right now and then I'll cut it down," Reece stated on his top schools. "I'm just looking for a good school and somewhere I feel comfortable."
Reece has begun to blow up on the recruiting trail as summer recruitment is now in full swing. This summer, Reece hopes to make it up to the northern states to take some visits.
"I like Toledo, I'm trying to get up there this summer but I also plan on visiting Bowling Green and Indiana, I'm not really sure about the rest of the schools' visits," he added.
Reece was credited with five-and-a-half sacks, five forced fumbles and eleven tackles for a loss as a junior in 2015. Reece has been used a lot as a stand-up pass rusher off of the edge for Clearwater High School and uses his speed and athletic ability to get to the quarterback. Despite being quick off of the edge, Reece can also be used in a down-stance on the line and possesses a strong burst out of his stance.
The recent Toledo offer could change things in Reece's recruitment. Marquel Blackwell, the new running backs coach for the Rockets, has deep Florida roots and is making a major impact on the recruitment of Reece.
"Toledo is a contender every year and I love Coach Blackwell and how he's from Florida, he tells me how it is in Toledo and doesn't tell me what I want to hear."
Toledo Scout will keep you posted on Reece's recruitment as the Rockets begin to target Florida once again.
