Mandy Alonso Will Announce Final Three "Soon"

2017 Miami, FL (Gulliver Prep) DT Mandy Alonso will announce his final list of three schools "soon." Will Toledo make the cut?

Toledo has had a lot of recent and past success in the state of Florida on the recruiting trail. The Rockets have been able to go into the Sunshine state and pull out top-targets. Now, the coaching staff is looking to do the same with 2017 Miami, FL (Gulliver Prep) DT Mandy Alonso. Toledo might get another step close as Alonso is getting close to narrowing down his list of schools to a top three.

“Not sure what schools will make the list yet, I'm gonna choose my top three list of schools,” Alonso said about his recruitment. “I’ll probably visit all three of my final schools and go from there. I’m not sure who will make that list yet, but I will be announcing my final three soon.”

Toledo has made a great impression on Alonso and have recruited him very hard over the last few weeks. As a result, they are a program that just might end up within Alonso’s top three that will be released soon.

"I think they are a very good program and that they have a lot to offer," Alonso said about Toledo. "They sent me a bunch of letters and text me almost once a week. Coach George is in a lot of contact with me, you can tell that he really wants me to go to Toledo.”

Alonso has over 20 offers including offers from schools like Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Temple, Syracuse, and more. However, he isn't quite sure what schools will make his final three.

"Well I have like 20 more offers and all of them have been in contact and I just need to take a long look and see who has the most to offer me. I'm not sure yet because I'm still figuring out all the colleges that have interest in me still. I will visit all three of my final three and then go from there."

Alonso put Toledo's chances as "possible" if the Rockets will make his final three. It appears like Georgia Tech and Syracuse are locks to make his final three, but West Virginia and Toledo are battling for the final spot.
