The Toledo Rockets are looking for a top linebacker in the Class of 2017 to help bolster this year's recruiting class. Orchard Lake, Michigan linebacker, Dwayne Chapman II appears to be their guy. Chapman, a six-foot, one-inch, 210-pound defensive anchor had ____ tackles for Orchard Lake St. Mary's as a junior in 2015.
Currently, Chapman holds twelve offers, nearly all, except for Navy are from Mid-American Conference programs.
"I have offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Navy, Western Michigan, and Toledo," Chapman told us, "But I don't have a favorite or a top list yet."
Despite not having a list of favorites, Chapman did state that Toledo is "near the top" of his unofficial list right now and he really likes the school's academics and coaching staff.
"Their new coaching staff is really energetic and fun to be around!" Chapman stated, "And being that I want to be an Engineering major, Toledo has a really great Engineering school," he added.
Chapman says he's been on Toledo's campus several times and really enjoys the gameday atmosphere and environment around campus.
"I've visited multiple times and the city atmosphere the campus carries is electric on gameday."
As for what he looks for in a school when they recruit him or he lists them as a top program, there are five things that catch his eye.
"First thing is Campus Faith, like religion and churches, second is a great education, third is a family atmosphere both players and the culture, then the coaches and overall fun of the program," Chapman stated.

Either way, Toledo Scout will keep you posted on the latest with Chapman II.
