2017 Central Catholic (PA) OLB Tim Terry Has Connections To Toledo, Talks Top Three

Toledo built a pipeline at Central Catholic High School, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In the 2016 class, Toledo signed Ronnie Jones from Central Catholic High School. Now, with the help of the Jones, the staff is trying to land Jones' former teammate 2017 linebacker Tim Terry.

Over the last few recruiting cycles, Toledo has had a lot of past and recent success at Central Catholic High School located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Within the 2016 class, the Rockets were able to land former Central Catholic High School alum and Toledo signee Ronnie Jones. The Toledo coaching staff is now looking to carry that success into the 2017 recruiting class with Pittsburgh, PA (Central Catholic) outside linebacker Tim Terry.

The Toledo coaching staff is pursuing Terry very hard by themselves, but they are getting help from 2016 Toledo signee Ronnie Jones who is actively recruiting Terry.

“I get a text every day from Coach Ward, it's a motivational text and I talk to Coach Candle also,” Terry said about Toledo. “We just talk about how everything's going and about more visits mainly. Ronnie Jones is my boy, he was always a motivated player; he helped out a lot. He tells me how much he liked the school and that I should choose a school that fits me best.”

Due to all the connections and contact Terry is in with the Toledo coaching staff, the Rockets have made the cut for Terry’s top three schools along with Bowling Green and Western Michigan.

“Toledo is within my top three along with Western Michigan and Bowling Green, but in no order. I like these schools by looking into the football teams and schools. I like how the coaches all coach, but I still have to visit Bowling Green and see how they are. However, I like them and I can tell they are serious about me also.”

All three of those schools are programs that Terry likes a lot, but in order for one of those programs to land Terry's commitment they will have to fit the bill for a school that Terry can see and wants to be at over the next few years.

“I like all three of those schools a lot. I am looking for the type of environment for me to be successful and whether they have my major or not, which is business or engineering, I haven't chose one yet. Education will play a big role for me."

One of the factors for why Terry has placed Toledo within his top three list of schools is because of his visit to Toledo on March 19th, which was very successful. The Rockets may be able to get themselves in even better position with an upcoming visit from Terry over the summer.

“I last visited Toledo on March 19th when they originally offered me on their junior day. I had a chance to watch their practice and I liked it. The plan is to visit Toledo over the summer, I can’t wait to just have a good time and getting closer with the coaches.”
