Tampa, Fla. Athlete Travell Harris Says Toledo is High on his List

Florida native, Travell Harris holds twenty-four total offers, but Toledo is near the top of the list.

The Toledo Rockets 2017 recruiting class is beginning to take off. Jason Candle and his coaching staff have done a tremendous job finding future stars of the Glass City, but the search continues. The Rockets continue to target Travell Harris of Tampa, Florida who likes the program and looks to visit.

"I have 24 total offers so far, I don't have any top list right now but Toledo is up there in my recruitment," Harris told us.

For Harris, his interest in Toledo comes from the interest Jason Candle showed in him and how the program is being built.

"Coach Candle was the first head coach to give me an offer and I think that's very special," Harris continued, "I also like how they are now bringing in more Florida kids."

Harris, the five-foot-nine, 170-pound athlete, who is likely a runningback or slot receiver at the next level, says he has a comparison for the way he plays.

"At the collegiate level, I'll probably play slot and I take my game after Tavon Austin," Harris stated on his similarities with the Los Angeles Rams wide out.

Harris, who runs a 4.40 40-yard dash would fit well into Toledo's fast-pace and no-huddle offense in which Jason Candle loves to implement speed. Harris would be a great addition to the Class of 2017.

"I love how Toledo let's freshmen play, I have a couple of friends up there too so that's a plus," he told us about his friends Aaron CovingtonDiontae Johnson, and Dedarallo Blue.

Toledo Scout will keep you posted on the latest in Harris' recruitment.
