2019 Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) QB Mariano Valenti Thinks "Very Highly" Of Toledo After Recent Visit

The Toledo coaching staff is already looking into the 2019 recruiting class for their next Rocket quarterback. Well, the coaching staff took another step in the right direction be offering 2019 Bloomfield Hills (Brother Rice) QB Mariano Valenti. Below, Valenti recaps his Toledo visit and talks his latest offer.

Toledo became the second program in the past week to dish out an offer to 2019 Bloomfield Hills (Brother Rice) QB Mariano Valenti. The Toledo coaching staff decided to offer Valenti during his visit to Toledo on Wednesday, but after they saw him at their 7-on-7 camp last weekend, which ultimately led him to his Toledo offer.

“I love Toledo's program,” Valenti said. “I really believe that they're a program that is on the rise. They went 10-2 last year, and their not satisfied. I threw at there 7-on-7 tournament, last week. A few days later, my coach told me they would like to have me down for a visit. I went on my visit today and got a tour of campus. At the end of my visit, Coach Candle offered me.”

Valenti was one of the true standouts at Toledo’s 7-on-7 camp last weekend. Even though he didn’t lead his team to winning the entire tournament, he did show the Toledo coaching staff that as a youngster there is a lot to look forward to in the coming years.

“The 7-on-7 camp was a lot of fun. There was a lot of good competition too. I performed pretty well, I think I was accurate and made good decisions. The coaching staff seemed to be really impressed with me and how I performed during the camp.”

Toledo is already being held in high regards from the young 2019 quarterback. During his visit, he had a chance to really learn about the Toledo program and hang out with the coaching staff.

“My visit was awesome! I got to spend all day with the offensive coordinator, Coach Wright. I got a tour of the great facilities and the whole campus. I haven't known the coaches for too long, but I can already tell that they are all great coaches and even better people! It's early and with Toledo being my second offer, I don't have a favorite or anything. But, I do know that I love everything about the program and I think very highly of them.”

Valenti will continue to visit a ton of programs this summer in the Midwest area. I expect more offers will continue to come in for the youngster. However, he will visit Toledo this fall for a game with a few of his teammates, which is another bonus for Toledo.
