Florida Native Travell Harris to Announce Top Ten Schools "Soon"

2017 athlete, Travell Harris has been favoring Toledo throughout his recruitment. Now, as he nears a top ten announcement, where do the Rockets sit?

It's no secret that the Toledo Rockets and first-year head coach, Jason Candle enjoy recruiting Florida. After two recent verbal commitments from the Sunshine State in Tampa Catholic standouts Darius Corbett and Bentlee Sanders, the Rockets will turn their attention to Travell Harris. Harris, a five-foot-eight, 170-pound playmaker out of Tampa Jesuit High School has favored the Rockets since they were the first school to show him real interest.

Now, Harris tells us he is nearing an announcement for his top ten list and while a decision on a school could be a longer wait, he does have a list with some favorite schools.

"I don't have a top list out right now but I will have one soon, it will be a top ten," Harris told us, "Toledo will be up in my top list," he added.

Harris, who also likes Bowling Green, Colorado State, Marshall and Western Kentucky, says he isn't sure when a verbal commitment will be in order.

"I don't know yet about the commitment date, I'm still talking with my parents about it," Harris told us. The patient Harris says there will be a few different factors that go into his decision.

"I'm going to look at the type of offense the school runs, the environment and just make sure that it feels like home. I'll also make sure the coaches are true with me," he added.

The Tampa native says he will visit Toledo on July 29th and will also likely stop by Bowling Green for a visit as well around that date as well.

"I'll be up to Toledo this month and I'll most definitely be back for a game as well," he told us.

Harris, who will likely play slot in college, says he takes his game after Tavon Austin. Toledo Scout will keep you posted on the latest with Harris' recruitment. You can subscribe to Toledo Scout by clicking here.
