Things Are Quiet in Toledo's 2017 Class but Not For Long

It's a quiet time around Toledo's 2017 recruiting class but will it stay silent for long?

Things have been quiet in the recruiting world surrounding Toledo Football and the 2017 class. However, expect that to change rather quickly. The Rockets are patiently waiting for a decision to be made by Toledo Central Catholic runningback Michael Warren, who is their hopeful hometown hero in the backfield. Aside from Warren, who would obviously be a major get for the Rockets, they're also hoping to land Pickerington, Ohio runningback Morgan Ellison.

The question becomes whether or not the two are a pair, since they both hold Toledo offers and seem to be communicating every now and then. Ellison is a quieter recruit but it's a major secret, especially for the Toledo coaching staff. Warren has said that he will make his decision in "late August" but there's no guarantee of that. Warren's top three include ToledoKentucky, and Iowa State but we fully expect Toledo to land Warren's services.

Aside from the two runningbacks, Tampa, Fla. slot receiver, Travell Harris is another interesting recruit to keep an eye on. Harris seems to be favoring Toledo over his two-dozen offers but has remained patient throughout.

We are also hearing rumblings about former Toledo commit, Kelvin Ateman of Detroit Cass Tech and a potential recommitment. Ateman decommitted a few weeks back due to his family wanting him to take time with his decision. October is a decent timeframe to expect that to happen.
