Nick Kovacs Prepares to Breakout Again in 2016 Senior Season

After a dominant junior season, Nick Kovacs is ready for another stellar season in 2016 prior to arriving in Toledo.

Springboro, Ohio wide receiver Nick Kovacs has been committed to the Toledo Rockets since March 19 and has only seen his stock rise since then. After several recent offers and a lot of interest from Iowa, Kovacs is looking to impress this fall as he prepares for next fall in Toledo.

After a junior campaign with 78 catches, 1,190 yards and 19 touchdowns, Kovacs has lofty expectations going into his senior campaign. However, Kovacs says he will look to improve in some key areas this fall.

"I want to continue working on my leadership and being the best receiver and player I can be," Kovacs told us.

The Springboro High School standout helped lead the way to a 9-3 overall record last season in which they made it to the second round of the OHSAA playoffs.

"I want to win a division title, make the playoffs, and hopefully make a deep playoff run," Kovacs stated.

The six-three, 195-pounder is a current three-star on and the sixth best receiver in the state of Ohio.

"I feel my strengths are being a playmaker and stepping up when my number is called and just doing what is asked of me."

We'll keep you posted on Kovacs' season at Springboro as he gears up for another breakout campaign.
