Jamal Hines was a bit of a late-bloomer in the 2017 class. With late offers from Toledo and Cincinnati, Hines decided to verbally commit to the Rockets on January 24. Hines looks as if he will play defensive end with the Rockets but at just six-three, 210-pounds, he will need to gain some weight at the next level. Hines has a knack for getting to the quarterback and ball carrier and has extreme agility and acceleration off of the edge. He will be one of the more interesting players to keep an eye on in this signing class as he comes in virtually unknown to fans an potentially with the biggest upside.
Stay tuned to Toledo Scout.
