Miami, Fla. defensive back Divaad Wilson has a very impressive offer list early on in the Class of 2018. Wilson, a six-foot, 183-pounder of Northwestern High School holds offers from Louisville, Rutgers, South Florida, UCF, Syracuse and now, Toledo. Head coach Jason Candle and the Rockets came through on Feb. 2 with an offer for the Sunshine State product.
"I don't know much (about Toledo)," Wilson told us, "Except for wide receiver Desmond Phillips and coach Candle."
Phillips, a young wide out at Toledo is out of Miami Jackson High School is a fellow Miami product who Wilson has known over the years, which only helps Toledo's case. Wilson stated that he likes Coach Candle as well and tells us that he tells him a lot about the school and has a lot to say about Wilson as a player. When it comes to strengths, Wilson says he is excellent in coverage, especially in the press.
On National Signing Day 2017, Jason Candle had a lot to say about defensive backs and how it can be difficult to find them. Wilson has a chance to be one of the biggest defensive back targets for the Rockets in the 2018 class. We'll have the latest.
