Hometown Product Tyler Long Adds Size to the 2018 Class

Hometown offensive lineman, Tyler Long has verbally committed to the Toledo Rockets. Long has tremendous size and will be a crucial piece to Toledo's 2018 recruiting class.

We have spoken to 2018 offensive lineman Tyler Long who tells us that he has verbally committed to the Toledo Rockets. Long, a big six-four body on the offensive line out of Springfield, Ohio will provide tremendous size for Jason Candle and the Rockets who already have a nice shapeup to the 2018 class.

"I just absolutely love the Toledo program," Long told us on his commitment.

The Rockets offered Long on January 16 and has since been offered by Bowling Green and Central Michigan will more offers still likely to come. Long has also been invited to the Nike Opening as one of the top prospects in Northwest Ohio. Despite bursting onto the scene recently, Long was extremely solid for Springfield High School and helped the Blue Devils all season long in the trenches.

When offered by Toledo, we caught up with Long who told us:

"This Toledo offer means the world to me, knowing that my hometown university believes that I can contribute to their program."

Long will have about a fifteen minute trip to campus and has obviously already visited several times, including for a Junior Day.

We'll keep you posted on the latest in the 2018 class but Tyler Long is a very good get for the Rockets and head coach, Jason Candle.
