New Orleans runningback, Garland LaFrance of St. Augustine High School received his tenth offer from Toledo last week. The five-ten, 165-pound back already holds offers from schools like Arkansas State, Tulane, and Troy, so Toledo is at the top of his list of bigger offers. Lafrance is a quicker back who Jason Candle and the Rockets will likely continue to target throughout the summer.
"Toledo is a place I've looked into and I really like it there and the offense they run. I don't know too much but I like the stadium and the offense."
At six-three, 275-pounds, Florida native Tyrone Barber of Venice Senior High School has received an offer from the Rockets to go along with his first offer from Alcorn State.
Jeremy Trebbles II is a teammate of Barber's at Venice Senior High School. As a dynamic cornerback at over five-ten, 175-pounds, Trebbles II already holds offers from Boston College, Middle Tennessee State, South Florida, and now Toledo. Cornerback is an interesting position in the 2018 class for the Rockets depending on where the incoming athletes in the 2017 signing class end up playing. Trebbles II will likely be a long-term target for Toledo as well.
Another offer from last week was to Illinois product and six-six tight end, Luke Ford of Carterville High School. Ford already has an impressive offer list from Arkansas, Minnesota, and hometown favorite Illinois so the Rockets may have their work cut out for them in Ford's recruitment but none the less, the offer gives him something to think about.
"I'm honored and very blessed," Ford said on his offer, "I love how they use their tight ends and I think I may visit in March if we can."
