Three-star tight end, Keaton Upshaw has seen his recruitment heat up over the past few weeks, but a Cincinnati offer may be sticking out most for the 6'6", 225-pounder. Upshaw, a tremendous pass catcher and athletic pass rusher as well at Lima Senior high school, announced via Twitter that he will be announcing his decision on June 2, just days after visiting the Bearcats and head coach Luke Fickell.
Upshaw does have interest in Toledo, after being offered several months ago.
"I have a lot of interest in Toledo so far because the staff really showed me a lot of love and I really like the atmosphere there," Upshaw told us back in January. "I like how they run their offense, they do a lot of things that I like and I could come and play early for them."
The Lima, Ohio product hasn't yet announced which schools he will decide from, but we have reached out to him to attempt to find out. Right now, it looks as if Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Purdue and potentially Toledo have chances with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and West Virginia likely as the front runners. However, we spoke with Upshaw on May 4 and were told, "They're near the top for me," when he was asked about Toledo.
We'll have the latest about his decision.
