At 6'6", 240 pounds, Mishawaka, Ind. product Anthony Torres remains a top priority for several different programs when it comes to the 2018 recruiting class. Now, more programs are coming forward to offer the Hoosier state product. Currently, Torres holds offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Indiana, Western Michigan and will also attend Notre Dame and Ohio State camps soon, hoping to draw higher interest from those programs. However, three schools that Torres also holds offers from that are really catching his eye are Toledo, Iowa and Cincinnati. While he doesn't have an official list of favorites, Torres did have words to say about the Rockets, Bearcats, and Hawkeyes.
"My interest level in Toledo is high, I like how Toledo utilizes their tight ends, that's what really sticks out to me," Torres told us about the Rockets. "I really like how Iowa utilizes their tight ends and I really like the coaching staff as a whole. At Cincinnati, I really like Coach Fickell and the program he's building."
Torres has already been on campus at Toledo and Western Michigan and both visits went very well, according to the three-star prospect.
"I was really impressed with both. I felt like a priority for both schools and the people at each place were genuine and real. Coach Candle's straight forwardness really stuck out to me and I've developed a good relationship with Coach Discher (Toledo tight ends coach)."
Torres told us back on May 10 that he would like to make his college decision during the summer prior to the beginning of his senior season. Iowa and Cincinnati are two newcomers sticking out to the No. 35 overall tight end in the Class of 2018 (Scout.com) but Toledo has been recruiting him for much longer, it'll be interesting to see what happens inside his recruitment. Stay tuned.
