Alvin Busbee will be a senior at Columbus Alternative High school this fall. Since his school does not have sports, he is allowed to play sports at his home school, which is Walnut Ridge High School.

Last season he completed 51% of his passes for 1006 yards and 16 touchdowns, while only throwing 3 interceptions as the starting QB at Walnut Ridge. He also ran the ball for 285 yards and 4 TD's.

Alvin is 6-1 and 180 pounds. He also runs a 4.7 forty yard dash, enabling him to make plays with his feet when receivers are not open.

Alvin recently talked to Rocket Digest about his recruitment. "I went to camps at Ohio State, Eastern Michigan, Cincinnati, and Wisconsin," Alvin told Rocket Digest when talking about his summer. Alvin said that Eastern Michigan and Akron have been in contact with him after attending the summer camps.

He has also heard from Toledo on the recruiting front. Alvin said that he talked to Rocket coaches when they came to school to talk to Zakee Bashir. "I don't really know a lot about the staff (at Toledo), but I am interested in Toledo," Alvin said.

Busbee said that each school that has talked to him is recruiting him as a quarterback.

At this time he does not list any favorites and he is working hard to improve his game and hopes to see his first offer soon.

In the classroom Alvin holds a 2.6 GPA at Columbus Alternative High School. On the football field he is the starting quarterback for Columbus Walnut Ridge, a team that went 7-3 last season. Alvin says that Walnut Ridge returns a fair number of starters from last year's team and they hope to improve on that 7-3 record.

Rocket Digest will continue to bring you the latest on Alvin Busbee's recruitment and his senior year as the season plays out.
