He's also had a nice start to his senior season with 59 tackles, 13 sacks, 6 interceptions, and 3 fumble recoveries so far.

On the recruiting front, things are starting to pick up for Curt. "I have not received any offers as of now, but I have two colleges interested in providing me with a full ride scholarship," Curt explained to Rocket Digest.

Curt is getting recruited by Toledo, Indiana, Western Michigan, Louisville, Northwood University (MI), and Sacred Heart University (CT).

Toledo assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Doug Downing is the coach that has been recruiting Curt for the Rockets. "It's (Toledo) a great university that has a great football team that has a chance to make a name for itself in the MAC conference," Curt said about Toledo.

Curt was impressed by Toledo's win over Michigan last weekend and he said the outcome of the game does have an impact on his recruitment. "I think Toledo is becoming a powerhouse in the MAC conference and it gives me confidence making that decision to play at Toledo," Curt said. "I think it was a great win because the game was on the road at Michigan and the boy's played great smack mouth football and showed everyone they're a force to be reckoned with."

Despite his comments in regards to Toledo's victory over Michigan, Curt has not committed to Toledo and does not have a scholarship offer from Toledo at this point. However, Toledo is one of his top three schools with Indiana and Louisville being the other two.

Curt told Rocket Digest that he attended a camp at Toledo over the summer and will be attending one of Toledo's remaining home games this fall. That will be an unofficial visit to Toledo. The only official visit he currently has scheduled, is one to Northwood University in January.

Curt is a solid student with a cumlative GPA of 9.2 on a 12.0 scale. When he goes to college he is hoping to major in either Business or Engineering. "I'm looking for some type of business or engineering degree, and a fun atmosphere with a great football program," Hutchins said when asked about what he is looking for in a college.

Rocket Digest will keep you updated on Curt Hutchins status as a Toledo football prospect as signing day 2009 approaches.
