Chikaobi Reid Update

Rocket Digest recently caught up with West Charlotte High School defensive end/tight end Chikaobi Reid, to get an update on his senior season and his recruitment status. While his team is 5-3 overall and looking like they will be heading to the playoffs, Chikaobi is working on narrowing down his list of colleges. After watching Toledo beat Michigan, where do the Rockets stand?

Rocket Digest recently caught up with West Charlotte High School defensive end/tight end Chikaobi Reid, to get an update on his senior season and his recruitment status.

"The seasons is going good, and yes we will make the playoffs," Chikaobi told Rocket Digest. West Charlotte is 5-3 overall and 3-0 in their conference, the ME-CA.

Last week West Charlotte defeated conference foe Concord Robinson 42-0, recording their first shutout of the season. Their defense only gave up 14 points in each of the previous two games as well.

Chikaobi is in the process of narrowing down his list and figuring out which schools he will take an official visit to. Right now Toledo is one of four schools that he has offers from, the other three being Vanderbilt, Duke, and East Carolina. He's also hearing from schools such as Virginia Tech, NC State, Michigan State, Miami of Florida, Clemson, and Michigan.

Toledo's win over Michigan last Saturday caught his eye, and may have helped to put them into that narrowed list. "I actually got a chance to see the game against Michigan and it really showed me that they can compete with the best in the country, and increased my interest (in Toledo).

Rocket Digest will continue to bring you the latest on Chikaobi Reid and his status as a Toledo football prospect over the coming weeks.
