Offensive Lineman Commits

Toledo Head Coach Tim Beckman received another commitment yesterday afternoon, when an offensive lineman from the state of Ohio picked up the phone and made his pledge to Toledo. Read on for more information on the commitment, including comments from the student-athlete in why he chose Toledo.

Olentangy Liberty High School offensive lineman Zac Kerin has committed to the University of Toledo. The 6-5, 265 pounder chose Toledo over an offer from Bowling Green.

"I committed to Toledo yesterday due to the degrees that Toledo offers and that I really liked the new coaching staff," Zac told Rocket Digest earlier today.

Zac took an official visit to Toledo the weekend of December 12th. "I had fun on the visit," Zac told Rocket Digest after he got back home from the visit. "I liked the campus, and like all of the coaches and their philosophies."

Zac is a great student in the classroom, holding a 3.88 GPA. He is the first offensive lineman to commit in Toledo's 2009 football recruiting class, and the fourth commitment overall.
