Tate Unruh Recruiting Update

Tate Unruh received an offer from Toledo back in October. Rocket Digest recently contacted Tate for an update on his recruitment. Read on to find out if Toledo is still in the mix for Tate's services.

Tate Unruh is a 6-1 shooting guard from Branson, Missouri. Rocket Digest first reported about Tate's recruitment with Toledo back in October when he took an official visit to see the Toledo campus and visit with Rocket basketball coaches. Rocket Digest recently contacted Tate for an update on his recruitment.

"I'm doing pretty," Tate told Rocket Digest. "I haven't committed anywhere yet." While Unruh has not committed to a college yet, he does have a couple of favorites. "UNC (Northern Colorado) and UT (Toledo) are a little ahead of the rest of the pack," Unruh said.

Tate still has offers from Toledo, Northern Colorado, Drury, Missouri-St. Louis, and College of the Ozarks. "Those are the remaining options," Tate said when talking about who was still recruiting him.

For the season he is averaging 19.5 points per game on a team that is 14-1. "We won the Blue and Gold Tourney for the second straight year, which is like the biggest tourney around here. And we beat our rival, Ozark, last night by ten and they are pretty good this year."

With one or two scholarships still available in the class of 2009, Toledo could use a shooting guard with Tate's abilities. Stay tuned to Rocket Digest for more updates on Tate's status as a Toledo Rocket basketball prospect.
