The Rocket football team continued their charity to the Toledo community last Friday when several student-athletes from the team joined head coach Tim Beckman at the Toledo Children's Hospital to pass out Valentine's Day cards to the patients.

"The event went great," said UT Football Business Manager Katie DeBenedictis. Several members of the football team took time out last Wednesday to make Valentine's Day cards for the patients at the Toledo Children's Hospital. Then on Friday they joined head football coach Tim Beckman at the hospital to pass out the cards.

The players talked to the kids, played games with them, and watched the kids draw pictures. Below is a photo gallery of the event, courtesy of the Toledo Rocket Football Program and UTRockets.com.

Next Friday, members of the football program will be going to Lincoln Academy from 4pm until 6pm to particpate in the Kids Unlimited afterschool program. The team will be playing dodgeball and basketball with the kids, as well as talking to them about school, grades, and life in general. The kids that particpate in the Kids Unlimited afterschool program are in grades kindergarten through 6th grade.
