Jeff Tanner is an offensive lienman at Moeller High school in Cincinnati, OH. His recruitment has picked up over the spring, and Toledo has thrown their hat in the mix.

"Toledo is recruiting me," Jeff Tanner recently told Rocket Digest. "It came as a pleasant surprise, very unexpected."

Toledo is one of seven scholarship offers for Tanner. The others are Vanderbilt, Indiana, Miami (OH), Kent State, Akron, and Ohio.

So what does Jeff think of Toledo?

"I really think highly of Toledo. I have not been up there yet, but I have heard some good things and I'm hoping to be able to make it up there this summer to check it out."

Tanner says that he has been contacted by several members of the Rocket coaching staff and that they seem like great coaches. The 6-4, 275 pound lineman is being recruited as both an offensive guard and offensive tackle. He currently runs a 5.1 forty yard dash.

In the classroom Jeff is a solid student with a 3.1 GPA. On the field he is hearing from NC State, Virginia, Ball State, Central Michigan, and Cincinnati, as well as the seven schools that have offered him a scholarship.

Jeff is still trying to determine which camps he will attend this summer, and so far he does not have any favorites nor a timeframe for making a commitment. "As of right now I'm not sure when I will commit. If I feel that the place is the right fit for me, I will pull the trigger, but until then I'm going to wait and see what happens."
